Location, Transportation and Accommodation


The University Hospitals of Tübingen are either located in the vicinity of the town centre ("Talkliniken") or on the Schnarrenberg. The workshop takes place at the Conference Center (building 520) and the Department of Radiology (building 420), both located on the "Schnarrenberg" ("Berg" Hospitals).

By plane: Tübingen is situated approximately 35 km from Stuttgart Airport (code: STR), and can be reached via an expressway (B27) by car in 20 minutes. Travelling to Tübingen by taxi will cost you approximately 40 Euro. A bus service ("Airport Sprinter" No. 828) which operates several times a day is an additional option (50 min).

By rail: Tübingen is connected to the network of the German Rail Service (Deutsche Bahn). Travelling by train from Stuttgart main station to Tübingen will take between 40 min. and one hour, depending on the respective rail connection.

By car: From the A81 motorway Stuttgart - Singen: Take the Herrenberg or Rottenburg exit (via B28). From the A8 motorway Karlsruhe - München: Take the Stuttgart/Degerloch (B27) exit.

In Tübingen, please follow the signs to the "Crona-Kliniken" / "Berg-Kliniken" (Schnarrenberg). The Department of Radiology can be reached easily with route 5, 13, 17, or 18 of the urban bus service (TÜ-Bus), as, for example, from the main railway station. Taxis are, of course, also available.
